ICAO-FIATA Dangerous Goods by Air Training (equivalent to IATA DGR 7.3 Course)

Overview Of The Institute and ICAO FIATA DGR Course (Equivalent to IATA DGR 7.3 Course)

Since nearly last 10years, the PIFFA Training Institute yearly renews its Status of  FIATA DGR Training School for the delivery of ICAO / FIATA Dangerous Goods by Air Training Program.

Under the ICAO FIATA Authorization, the PIFFA Training Institutes have up-till now conducted 22 Batches of DGR training in Karachi and 18 Batches in Lahore. About 500 successful participants from Freight Forwarders Companies have been issued certificates under the Authority of ICAO – FIATA. Each certificate issued by FIATA bears its QR Code for authentication.

In 2023, Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority had validated PIFFA Training Institute Karachi, Lahore, Sialkot (as satellite) as well as the Trainers for DGR Training as per functions 7.3.A table given in IATA DG Training Guidance for CBTA (Edition-01).

IATA has issued confirmation that FIATA Dangerous Goods Training Course is recognized by IATA as meeting the requirements acceptable under Cargo Agency Program

These courses are conducted at Karachi, Lahore and Sialkot.

The ICAO-FIATA Dangerous Goods training has undergone a transformation from conventional learning to a competency-based training and assessment (CBTA) approach.

The ICAO Technical Instructions 2023-24 Edition (Doc 9284), provides guidelines on the CBTA approach, as agreed by the ICAO Dangerous Goods Panel during DGP/27 in September 2019.

Freight forwarders account for a large segment of all shipments transported by air and constitute a critical element for strengthening the air cargo supply chain around the world.

The Dangerous goods by Air training course is based on the current edition of ICAO Technical Instructions (TI’s) .

The course also meets the training requirement of IATA’s Cargo Agency Programme (Minimum Staff Requirement). The internationally-recognized ICAO-FIATA certificate issued under this programme will be accepted by various international bodies including IATA.
